Entry Requirements
General requirements for all courses
local and international students
- An overall IELTS band 5.5 or equivalent and above
- 18 years and above with a High School Certificate (Year 12)
- A verified copy of qualification & transcripts is required along with the application
- Qualification & transcripts needs to be verified by CTI’s approved student recruitment agent to confirm their genuine status
- Documents not in English should be provided with a certified translation
- Students have to meet all of the above requirements to gain entry into CTI’s qualifications. Student applications which do not meet the above requirements will be rejected.
- Must meet specific CTI qualification entry requirements as listed below
Certificate III in Printing & Graphics Arts
ICP30205
- ICP20205 Certificate II in Printing and Graphic Arts (Desktop Publishing) OR
- ICP20105 Certificate II in Printing and Graphic Arts (General) OR
- ICA10104 Certificate I in Information Technology OR
- Confirmation of Basic IT knowledge and skills at a fundamental level
Diploma of IT (Software Development)
ICA50705
Preferred entry requirements for candidates considering this qualification include:
- Certificate III or IV in IT. You will need to submit verified Certificate / Statement of Attainment for recognition purposes upon approval will be exempted from the pre-requisite units. All pre-requisite/co-requisites are covered within individual clusters as marked with an asterisk (*). See the courses page for details OR
- With vocational experience in a range of work environments in software development roles but without a qualification.
- Examples of indicative job roles for candidates seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include:
- Junior Programmer

Diploma of Business
BSB50207
Preferred entry requirements for candidates considering this qualification include:
- After achieving the BSB40207 Certificate IV in Business or other relevant qualification/s OR
- Providing evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the BSB40207 Certificate IV in Business or other relevant qualification/s OR
- With vocational experience in a range of work environments in senior support roles but without a qualification.
- Examples of indicative job roles for candidates seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include:
- Administrator
- Project Officer
Advanced Diploma of Business
BSB60207
Candidates may enter the qualification through a number of entry points demonstrating potential to undertake vocational education and training at advanced diploma level, including:
- After achieving BSB50207 Diploma of Business or other relevant qualification/s OR
- Providing evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the BSB50207 Diploma of Business or other relevant qualification/s OR
- With substantial vocational experience in a range of environments, acting in a range to senior support or technical roles.
- Examples of indicative job roles for candidates seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include:
- Executive Officer
- Program Coordinator
- Program Consultant
